Connah’s Quay secured their third league win in as many matches following a 8-0 demolition of Felinheli at the Deeside Stadium.
Victory for the hosts leave them sitting pretty at the top of the Genero Adran North with nine points, having scored a remarkable 22 goals and conceded just two.

Number 10 Ella Jones starred with an incredible display to bag four goals, while Megan Andrews, Megan Clarke, Polly-May McGregor and Libby Mackenzie added the others to defeat a hapless Felinheli- the same opponents who beat them 3-2 only last month.
The visitors, led by Aaron Jones-Evans, provided very little threat throughout and had only one genuine chance on goal when forward Alaw Prys was denied by Megan Bowen’s reaction save.
On the flipside, it was a landmark day for Nomads’ gaffer Jordan Parry. His side’s huge win marked his 100th game in charge of the club since his appointment in January 2021.
How it unfolded….
In a game that promised a close encounter following their last game in October, in which Felinheli came from two goals down to win 3-2, Nomads responded in devastating fashion to exact their revenge.
Ella Jones opened the scoring after just four minutes when a simple ball over the top was buried into the bottom left corner, before she doubled the lead five minutes later after making clinical use of a loose ball in the area.
When skipper Polly Wild-McGregor was then brought down in the box and referee Morgan Griffiths was quick to award a penalty, Jones stepped up to the spot and completed her hat-trick inside 37 mins. Her calm finish into the top-right corner left keeper Catrin Beech with no chance.
But in a game that could have easily stagnated given the early flurry of goals, the Nomads illustrated little sign of ‘let-up’ in their search for more goals.
After centre-midfielder Libby Mackenzie scored her first competitive goal for Nomads when a Hannah Slack attempt was parried right into her path, the hosts added two further goals in first-half stoppage time.
Megan Andrews registered her first goal of the season to hit the fifth as she strode through acres of space amidst some poor defending, while McGregor scored the sixth a minute later when her cool left-footed finished squeezed through Beech’s legs into the bottom right corner.
Although the second half failed to ignite in the same manner as the first, there was still time for moments of brilliance as the Nomads secured a comprehensive victory with a clean sheet.
Ella Jones struck her fourth of the match and NINTH of the season thus far with a beautiful whipped strike in the 49th minute, before Megan Clarke rounded off the scoring ten minutes from time with a first senior goal. The substitute headed home a brilliant Mae Hodgers cross from the left-hand side.
What’s next?
Connah’s Quay return to action with a home clash against Llandudno on November 30. They remain the only team in the Genero Adran North who haven’t dropped a point.
Llandudno will looking to bounce back from a shock game 3-0 defeat on home turf against newly-promoted Berriew FC.
Jay Davies’ side can take confidence from beating the Nomads 2-1 in the Bute Energy Welsh Cup last month!
